Mahaut is an adviser, scientific project manager and research advisor at the Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research.

As research advisor, Mahaut’s task is to support the researchers at the Geophysical Institute and Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research in attracting research funding, both from Norwegian and international sources. This includes keeping up to date on relevant funding opportunities, giving courses in proposal writing, providing advice and proof-reading on individual applications, and providing advice on career development plans to young researchers.

As project manager, Mahaut is mainly in charge of the daily administration of the Bjerknes Climate Prediction Unit, which receives funding by the Trond Mohn Foundation (https://bcpu.w.uib.no/).
