My name is Kees Lemmens and I already work for 25 years at the TU Delft.
I studied applied physics in Delft, graduated with a subject in Computational Science (Nbody simulations) and am involved in supercomputing and parallel computing ever since.
I teach several lab courses on Partial and Non Linear Differential equations with the Maxima computer algebra system and also many courses on Scientific and Parallel Programming (mostly C and Python).
I contributed some open source software for MySQL databases to the Linux community, worked on the Linux kernel for a short while and started using Nvidia GPUs somewhere around 2006. I teach about 5 GPU courses a year since 2007 and also several courses on MPI and supercomputing since 1995.
Besides I have been teaching many courses on PDEs and Computional Science in foreign countries such as Indonesia (Palembang, Bandung and Singaraja), Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenia (Eldoret), Romania and China (Weihai).
My hobbies are too numerous to mention them all, but the most important ones are flying gliders in the mountains, doing aerobatics in planes and playing guitar in an Irish Music folk group.
