Jimmy Zurcher is currently advisor in reservoir geological modelling for Equinor in Norway since 2022. His background is a mix of mathematics, applied sciences and a hint of programming at École des Mines de Nancy and petroleum sciences with a major of geology at IFP School in Paris.
Since he started working in Equinor in 2014, he has worked with modelling, implementing big-loop automated methods for various oil and gas fields in Norway. He then worked in research, including petro-elastic models used for the assimilation of seismic monitoring observation data. Willing to contribute to the spread of new methodologies and technics, he has been instructing in internal training classes for several years.
