Andreas is a researcher at NORCE, working on data assimilation and optimal control.

He completed his PhD from Bergen in 2011, and has since worked at IRIS (now NORCE) and The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research. His main contributions are the development of Gaussian Mixture Algorithms for Data Assimilation and the extension of the Ensemble based optimization method for optimal control.
